I had a lovely night away for my anniversary, where nothing was too much trouble and the location was perfect for what we wanted, with easy access to the nearby Cannop Ponds and the scenic Forest of Dean just a short walk away to enjoy some magnificent natural beauty.

Comfortable room with a spacious layout and a great en-suite bathroom. The balcony in Room 8 added a nice touch for enjoying the scenery outside.

The radiator struggled to keep the large room warm during a chilly weekend, and the TV wasn’t fully programmed, which made it difficult to access all channels without assistance. limited mobile phone signal in the area could be inconvenient for staying connected.

The warm welcome from the owner made me feel right at home, and the cleanliness of the room was impressive. I particularly enjoyed the unique breakfast granola pots, they were delicious and a nice change from the usual fare.

It wasn't the cheapest stay but you get what you pay for.

Full English breakfast was a standout. Cozy room with a great shower to refresh after forest adventures. Highly recommend visiting the nearby nature reserve.

I only stayed for 1 night for business. The key was left in an envelope for me, allowing an easy entry after my late arrival. The room was very clean and included free wifi, with a comfortable bed and a great walk-in shower. Breakfast came quickly and exactly as ordered, featuring a delicious fry-up. Christine, the owner, was welcoming and made me feel at home.
